Guide for legal advisors – Demand Letter Reviews

Here are the general instructions concerning our product for demand letters. The purpose of this page is to guide you when you receive a mandate through our platform.
The time required per service is an indicator and a target. It is normal that at the beginning, the files take you longer. Please get in touch with us if the processing time is much higher. Keep in mind that this is a limited scope mandate where you are only committed to guiding the client in light of the information they have provided.
For your information, here are the products and prices* that are billed to the customer.
- The demand letter without review: from $40.
- The demand letter with a written review by a legal advisor: $90;
- The demand letter with a written review and a telephone call by a legal advisor: $140; and
- The demand letter with a written review, a telephone call and the signature of the legal advisor: $175.
* If there is more than one recipient, $40 is added per recipient.
** Mailing is an additional charge. Registered mail costs $20 per recipient.

THE “LEGAL REVIEW” SERVICE
The objective of the service: the customer has been promised a review of his/her demand letter within 48 working hours of its purchase. Please consider that it is possible that the dispatcher took a few hours to verify conflicts of interest and assign the mandate. You will therefore certainly have less than 48 hours to review and send your comments to the client.
Limited scope mandate: Unless specifically specified, on the terms of use accepted by the customer, you do not have to rewrite the formal notice. Your mandate is only to provide feedback and strategies based on the information provided by the client.
Time required for the proposed review: 20 minutes.
Steps to follow:
- You will receive an email transfer from the dispatcher responsible for verifying conflicts of interest. There will be a link in this email. Just click on the link to access the “review” PLEASE NOTE: the email will also tell you if the client has purchased a telephone call with you.
- The review page groups all customer information by section.
- Although the option is available, please do not use the “modify” option. This option modifies the customer’s text directly instead of giving comments in the boxes next to specific sections. Since you have not met the client, you cannot assume what the client means. We therefore limit ourselves to reviewing and commenting
- In front of each box, you can insert your “comments”. You click on this option and a box will appear on the Once your comments are written, don’t forget to click on “add”.
- If the text is intelligible, you can only mention it to the customer
- We advise you to copy / paste the answers that often come up in a separate This will facilitate your next reviews.
- Once your comments are inserted and added, you click on “send comments to the customer”. This will send an email to the client stating that they can go see them and make changes.
THE TELEPHONE REVIEW CALL
The objective of the service is to explain your comments to the client and answer their questions.
- Estimated time requirement : 20 minutes.
The steps to follow :
- Making an appointment: once the legal review has been made, you can send an email to the client with your availability for the call.
- At the proposed time, you return to the “dashboard” and click on the customer’s request to have it in front of you during the phone call.
- You call the customer at the agreed.
- If the customer does not respond, you can call them back 10 minutes later. If there is still no response, you notify the dispatcher and he / she will manage the next steps or refer the issue to Legalhood’s customer service. The duration of the call will be reduced if the customer was not there at the agreed time.
- Once the call is finished, you send an email to the dispatcher with the client’s name indicating that it is done.
GENERAL COMMENTS
The client may contact you directly after the services are rendered. We would be grateful if you could refer the client to the online services we offer if these are relevant, for example, our small claims service.
In the event that the services are not relevant, you can proceed as you wish with this client: flat fee, hourly rate, etc.
