Legalhood.com is a commendable initiative for people who intend to settle their non-complex lawsuit at little cost and this fits well into the new judicial culture.
You must complete our smart form by answering simple questions.
You will be assigned a lawyer specialized in housing law within 5 business days. You will be in good hands.
The lawyer will then contact you to schedule virtual meeting with you as soon as possible.
You will receive an email to confirm the time and date of your online session as well as a link for the virtual meeting.
During this session, the lawyer will confirm the information and ask you to provide certain documents related to your request.
Please make sure that both your camera and microphone are fully functional if you are having the meeting online. If one of the two doesn’t work, it can be done by phone.
Within seven (7) days following your meeting with the lawyer, if you provided all the required documents, you will receive your request for The Tribunal Administratif du Logement (formerly The Régie du Logement) by email.
You will have to sign it and drop it at the nearest courthouse.
Court fees vary between $42 and $80 (non-taxable) and must be paid directly to the courthouse.
Please note that this service does not include legal representation at the hearing. The main purpose of this service is to provide you with the appropriate assistance with your submission to apply to The Tribunal Administratif du Logement in order to maximize your chances of success.
Legalhood is not a law firm. The lawyers and notaries who provide legal services on the various Legalhood platforms are members of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA), due to a historic and exclusive partnership concluded with the Quebec Division of this association.
